Adler Edwards, Founder

My name is Adler Edwards and I am the founder of "Kilos Against Cancer". I was born with a rare type of blood cancer called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) which is where there are too many white blood cells in the body and they attack other body systems.

I went through over a year of chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant at just under two years old. I was very lucky with all the support that I had and that my treatment worked, but not all cancer patients are this lucky.

Now that I am 19 I am a weightlifting athlete and the sport of Olympic Weightlifting has made me stronger than I could have imagined. Kilos against cancer takes my love for the sport of weightlifting and my desire to do what I can to help with cancer research, cancer patients going through treatment, and the families of those patients the best I can.
